Deck overview

This deck is a mono-green Voltron and Landfall hybrid built around Kosei, Penitent Warlord. Kosei requires three specific conditions—being enchanted, equipped, and bearing a counter—to unlock a devastating ability that deals damage to all opponents and draws cards equal to the combat damage dealt. The list leverages explosive fast mana such as Mox Diamond, Sol Ring, and Exploration to accelerate into early land engines. While Kosei presents an overwhelming damage and card draw engine once assembled, the deck relies on just two Auras in the 99 with no direct tutors to find them. Defensively, low-cost protection spells like Heroic Intervention, Tamiyo's Safekeeping, and Sylvan Safekeeper defend the commander from removal. If Kosei is removed, the deck easily pivots into an independent Landfall combat strategy powered by Blackblade Reforged, Ancient Greenwarden, and Bristly Bill, Spine Sower.
