Format: Commander

Commander: Jodah, Archmage Eternal

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Jodah, Archmage Eternal is the engine of a five-color 'cheat big mana' goodstuff deck. The deck ramps and fixes into all five colors, then uses Jodah's {W}{U}{B}{R}{G} alternative cost to deploy expensive threats like Progenitus, Ulamog, the Defiler, and Time Stretch far ahead of schedule. Secondary plans lean on Sunbird's Invocation to chain spells, Purphoros/Krang to grant haste, and board wipes to reset. The commander has no hidden face or two-card combo; the deck wins through repeated combat with large evasive creatures, augmented by Moonshaker Cavalry and Legion Loyalty. It is threat-dense and has solid removal, but it is slower than dedicated combo decks and heavily rewards keeping Jodah alive.
