Commander: Michelangelo, the Heart and Leonardo, the Balance

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This is a five-color +1/+1 counters and tokens midrange deck helmed by the partner pair Michelangelo, the Heart and Leonardo, the Balance. Mikey is a cheap early attacker who converts raids into counters and Food, while Leo turns every token ETB into a once-per-turn team-wide counter distribution and can finish games with a five-color activation granting menace, trample, and lifelink. The 99 leans hard into Mutagen and Food token engines, counter doublers, and go-wide combat payoffs, with several infinite loops (notably Scurry Oak lines and Basking Broodscale engines) backed by Walking Ballista as a finisher. Secondary paths include massive combat via Ouroboroid, Wolverine, Claws Out, and Herald of Secret Streams, plus attrition from Braids, Arisen Nightmare and Jenova, Ancient Calamity. The deck snowballs wide boards quickly and wins through either assembled combos or overwhelming evasive combat.
