Format: Commander

Commander: Maralen, Fae Ascendant

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Maralen, Fae Ascendant is the engine: every Elf or Faerie that enters exiles the top two cards of an opponent's library and lets you cast one of those cards for free each turn, with the mana value capped by your Elf/Faerie count. The primary plan is to flood the board with cheap Faerie and Elf tokens, pump them with Tegwyll and Scion of Oona, and finish through combat, drain triggers, or a prowled Notorious Throng. Secondary paths use Alela, Cunning Conqueror and goad effects to control combat, and Blightwing Bandit or Malleable Impostor to borrow opponents' cards. Alela is the hidden commander, turning flash spells into a token army while Maralen provides the card advantage.
