Goad, Goad, Goad Some More by user1984961

Format: Commander

Commander: Marisi, Breaker of the Coil

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Marisi, Breaker of the Coil pilots a Naya goad-and-combat strategy. The primary plan is to connect with cheap or evasive attackers, goad every opposing creature, and then run over the table with myriad threats and extra combat steps. Marisi's in-combat lock prevents opponents from answering mid-combat, while Aurelia, the Warleader, Battle Angels of Tyr, and Gratuitous Violence turn a single attack into 30-60 damage across three opponents. Secondary paths include token swarming with Adeline and Ghired, treasure ramp from Jolene and Professional Face-Breaker, and a direct-damage finish with Crackle with Power. There is no double-faced commander and no hidden commander; the deck is built around Marisi's sustained goad lock rather than a one-turn commander combo.
