Deck overview

This deck is a high-velocity Rakdos combo list helmed by Magar of the Magic Strings, designed to cheat game-ending instants and sorceries directly into combat. By combining low-cost graveyard setup like Entomb, Buried Alive, and Unmarked Grave with Magar's reanimation ability, the deck converts massive spells into 3/3 face-down creatures. Connecting with Savage Beating generates infinite combat steps for an immediate table wipe, while hits from Rise of the Eldrazi chain endless extra turns. An elite fast-mana package featuring Chrome Mox, Mox Diamond, Mana Vault, and Dark Ritual accelerates usable assembly to Turn 3. When the commander plan is pressured, the deck seamlessly pivots to compact backup win conditions such as Dualcaster Mage paired with Molten Duplication, or raw card advantage storms powered by Ad Nauseam, Peer into the Abyss, and Underworld Breach. Robust interaction including Deflecting Swat and Pyroblast protects critical windows.
