Deck overview

This Golgari deck is helmed by Enkira, Hostile Scavenger, executing a mid-range combat strategy that blends Zombie token generation with Equipment-based lure mechanics. Enkira creates two 2/2 Walker Zombie tokens upon entering the battlefield and gains indestructible whenever it attacks alongside at least two Zombies. When equipped, Enkira forces all capable opposing creatures to block it, functioning as an indestructible lightning rod that clears blocking paths for the rest of the board. The deck leverages dense early ramp to cast Enkira by Turn 4 or 5, followed by heavy-hitting beaters like Grave Titan, Elder Gargaroth, and God-Eternal Rhonas on Turn 6. While the deck boasts robust protection against spot removal and destroy board wipes through cards like Lightning Greaves, Darksteel Plate, and Wrap in Vigor, its reliance on multi-turn combat swings and lack of stack interaction leave it vulnerable to mass exile and fast combo strategies.
