Commander: Sauron, the Dark Lord

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Sauron, the Dark Lord commands a Grixis midrange and control strategy that leverages the Amass Orcs and Ring tempts mechanics to generate massive battlefield presence and relentless card advantage. Sauron punishes opponents whenever they cast spells by growing an Orc Army token, while converting successful Army combat damage and Ring triggers into repeated hand-refilling draw effects. The primary path to victory involves overwhelming opponents through giant, unblockable Orc Armies and scaling Nazgul boosted by equipment like Whispersilk Cloak and Trailblazer's Boots. Secondary win lines use direct damage from The Great Goblin, Fling, and high-impact board wipes like Blasphemous Act alongside Fall of Cair Andros.
