Kaalia Dragonstorm 2020 by Hidewrath

Format: Commander

Commander: Kaalia of the Vast

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This deck is built around Kaalia of the Vast's combat trigger to cheat high-impact Angels, Demons, and Dragons directly onto the battlefield tapped and attacking. The primary game plan accelerates through a suite of rituals, signets, and fast mana to deploy Kaalia by turn 3-4, then chain extra combat steps via Hellkite Charger and Scourge of the Throne to overwhelm opponents with multiple huge fliers. Secondary win conditions include mass reanimation spells like Living Death and Patriarch's Bidding that rebuild from the graveyard, and a storm-powered Dragonstorm that can flood the board. The deck leans heavily on its commander's ability to power out expensive creatures ahead of curve, making her removal a significant setback.
