Deck overview

This deck is a mono-blue Merfolk tribal and tempo strategy commanded by Namor the Sub-Mariner. Namor bridges spellslinger interaction and go-wide creature beatdown: casting blue noncreature spells creates 1/1 Merfolk tokens, while Namor's power scales with every Merfolk on the battlefield. The game plan focuses on establishing early Merfolk lords and token engines, deploying Namor on curve, and holding up efficient blue interaction that disrupts opponents while simultaneously generating a wide board of attackers. Evasion is achieved naturally through Islandwalk via Lord of Atlantis, Master of the Pearl Trident, and Harbinger of the Seas, or mass evasion via Deepchannel Mentor and Raise the Palisade. Massive pump effects like Coat of Arms and Banner of Kinship rapidly turn the token swarm into a lethal combat clock by Turn 6. Backed by a dense suite of countermagic and bounce spells, the deck protects its board state while methodically eliminating opponents over two to three combat cycles.
