Deck overview

This deck executes a mid-range poison control strategy led by Atraxa, Praetors' Voice. Rather than relying on fragile infect combat against all three opponents, the deck applies early poison counters through unblockable creatures or direct spells such as Prologue to Phyresis, Ichor Rats, and Vraska's Fall. Once all opponents are poisoned, the deck shifts into a defensive posture, deploying Atraxa alongside compounding proliferate engines like Evolution Sage, Inexorable Tide, Contagion Engine, and Radstorm. Because poison counters cannot be removed, every proliferate trigger advances a permanent, table-wide lethal clock. A robust four-color interaction suite—featuring Cyclonic Rift, Toxic Deluge, Force of Negation, and Deadly Rollick—disrupts opposing combos and sweepers while defensive tools like Mutational Advantage and Mithril Coat protect Atraxa. The deck steadily grinds opponents out by turn 7 with high inevitability.
