Commander: The Mindskinner

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

The Mindskinner is a mono-blue voltron-mill hybrid: an unblockable 10/1 commander that converts all damage from your sources into mill for every opponent. The primary plan is to attach double strike and raw-power equipment to make one attack phase lethal. The secondary plan is Bruvac the Grandiloquent as a hidden commander: he doubles all mill, and pairing him with a kicked Maddening Cacophony or a large Mindskinner strike ends the game. Backup pieces like The Water Crystal, Fractured Sanity, and Ruin Crab provide incremental or burst mill. The deck is artifact-heavy and stack-interactive, but it can lose to resolved hate permanents. A fast start can kill around turn six; grinding to turn seven is more typical.
