Deck overview

This deck is a Golgari Phyrexian tribal midrange deck commanded by Glissa, Herald of Predation. Its primary game plan revolves around landing early toxic and infect creatures to establish poison counters on all opponents, ramping into Glissa on Turn 4, and utilizing her combat triggers to generate and transform Incubator tokens. Once an initial poison counter is applied, the deck leverages dense proliferate mechanics from sources like Evolution Sage, Bloated Contaminator, Throne of Geth, and Contagion Engine to advance the poison clock without needing to deal 120 traditional combat damage. High-end threats like Tyrranax Rex, Skithiryx, the Blight Dragon, and Zopandrel, Hunger Dominus provide substantial combat pressure and closing power. While the deck boasts robust engine redundancy and resilient non-creature incubator storage, its reliance on combat connections, lack of stack interaction, and minimal instant-speed board protection leave it vulnerable to efficient removal and sweepers.
