Deck overview

Ardbert is a legendary-creature counter engine: every white spell grants vigilance and +1/+1 counters, and every black spell grants menace and +1/+1 counters, so the deck converts cheap hybrid legends into a swelling, hard-to-block board. The primary plan is midrange beatdown with lifelink and evasion; a strong secondary path turns incidental life gain into table-wide drain via Sanguine Bond and Archangel of Thune. Felidar Sovereign, Test of Endurance, and Approach of the Second Sun provide alternate wins, while Revel in Riches can ride Smothering Tithe treasures. No hidden commander exists; the DFC legends are flexible value/flex pieces.
