Deck overview

This deck is an optimized Esper combat-tempo strategy helmed by Splinter, Radical Rat. The deck leverages cheap, unblockable creatures such as Changeling Outcast and Ornithopter to reliably connect in combat, enabling Ninjutsu abilities and triggering high-impact damage abilities. Splinter acts as an explosive force multiplier, doubling every Ninja combat damage trigger. This turns value engines like Ingenious Infiltrator into massive card draw and accelerates win conditions like Yuriko, the Tiger's Shadow and Shredder, Shadow Master into game-ending table burns. Supported by efficient black rituals, premium tutors, and free interaction like Force of Will and Fierce Guardianship, the deck rapidly sets up its board while shielding its combat steps with Grand Abolisher and Silence. While it lacks a compact two-card infinite combo, its raw damage output and overwhelming card advantage allow it to pressure and close out 4-player pods efficiently around Turns 5 to 6.
