Deck overview

This deck is a Bant +1/+1 counters midrange deck commanded by Tidus, Yuna's Guardian. The game plan revolves around deploying early counter-generating creatures, resolving Tidus to distribute counters at combat, and triggering his Cheer ability to draw cards and proliferate. Midgame turns leverage high-synergy multipliers like Hardened Scales, The Earth Crystal, and Bristly Bill, Spine Sower to rapidly expand creature stats across the board. Evasion enablers such as Duskshell Crawler, Sphere Grid, and Rikku, Resourceful Guardian ensure combat damage connects against crowded boards, while asymmetric removal like Damning Verdict breaks board stalls. Built-in insurance from The Ozolith, Resourceful Defense, and Luminous Broodmoth preserves counter investments and board presence against removal. The deck consistently closes games through overwhelming, trampling combat damage between Turns 6 and 8 while maintaining steady card flow and defensive interaction.
