kaalia by Rbcatz

Format: Commander

Commander: Kaalia of the Vast

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

Kaalia of the Vast is the sole engine of a cheat-into-play deck: every attack converts a hand-held Angel, Demon, or Dragon into an immediate tapped-and-attacking threat. There is no hidden commander. The primary line is to cast Kaalia on turn four and then chain high-end creatures that tutor, double damage, or add extra combats, with Rune-Scarred Demon and Burning-Rune Demon finding the pieces. Secondary plans include hard-casting midrange Demons and using reanimation (Reanimate, Karmic Guide, Orcus) to recover from removal. The deck is a straight combat-aggro deck with very little stack interaction; it wins by assembling Twinflame Tyrant/Gisela-style damage doubling alongside Aurelia/Bloodthirster extra combats.
