Format: Commander

Commander: Meren of Clan Nel Toth

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Meren of Clan Nel Toth is the commander of a Golgari reanimator-combo deck that fills its graveyard, recurs creatures every end step, and wins through compact sacrifice-based combos. The primary plan is to use Entomb/Buried Alive-style tutors and self-mill to put Mikaeus, the Unhallowed and Walking Ballista into the graveyard, then reanimate them for an infinite damage loop; a secondary drain plan uses Gray Merchant, Kokusho, and sacrifice outlets, with Jarad/Lord of Extinction as a huge-life-swing finisher. Meren provides repeatable end-step recursion, but the deck is built to function without her by leaning on reanimation spells. No hidden or double-faced commander changes this plan.
