Bracket 2 - But look on the flip side! by Sp0okyChills

Format: Commander

Commander: Yarus, Roar of the Old Gods

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Gruul manifest/morph deck is built around Yarus, Roar of the Old Gods as a haste-and-value engine for face-down permanents. The plan is to deploy cheap morph, disguise, and manifest creatures, cast Yarus to give them haste, then convert every face-down attack into a card and every face-down death into a reanimated, face-up permanent. Whisperwood Elemental, Hide in Plain Sight, Valgavoth's Onslaught, and Ugin's Mastery churn out face-down bodies, while Panoptic Projektor, Experiment Twelve, and Pyrotechnic Performer turn mass flips into huge pump-and-burn turns. The cleanest combo kill is Ashcloud Phoenix looping with Blasting Station or Goblin Bombardment for infinite damage. Yedora, Grave Gardener and Deathmist Raptor give the deck a grinding recursion angle. This is a midrange value deck whose primary path is hasty face-down combat plus flip triggers, with an explosive but draw-dependent infinite combo as backup.
