Deck overview

This deck is a Dimir flash tempo strategy commanded by Alela, Cunning Conqueror. It focuses on operating almost entirely on opponents turns, casting low-cost instants, cantrips, and flash creatures to reliably trigger Alela ability and produce a swarm of 1/1 flying Faerie Rogue tokens. As these tokens deal combat damage, Alela goads opposing creatures, forcing opponents to attack each other and keeping the pilot safe from crackbacks. The deck maintains card advantage through continuous draw engines such as Wavebreak Hippocamp, Enduring Curiosity, and Skullclamp. It disrupts opposing threats with an extensive suite of counterspells and efficient black removal. Once an evasive aerial army is established, the deck transitions into a lethal clock using mass pump spells like Gravitational Shift or by casting Notorious Throng for its prowl cost to take an extra turn and overwhelm the table through combat damage.
