Deck overview

This deck is a classic Mono-Green Stompy strategy that leverages high-stat, low-cost creatures to cast Ghalta, Primal Hunger as early as Turn 4 for just two green mana. Mana dorks on Turn 1 set up oversized beaters like Steel Leaf Champion, Pugnacious Hammerskull, and Gigantosaurus on subsequent turns, easily meeting Ghalta's power discount threshold. Once Ghalta enters play, power-based card advantage engines such as Garruk's Uprising, Elemental Bond, and Rishkar's Expertise keep the hand full of additional threats. The deck converts its overwhelming board presence into game-ending combat steps using mass overrun effects like Overwhelming Stampede and Unnatural Growth. While the list excels at rapid board development and high-stat resilience, it lacks stack interaction and relies on combat damage across multiple turn cycles, leaving it exposed to well-timed board wipes and spot removal.
