Deck overview

This Grixis deck is a sacrifice-and-steal value engine built around Kess, Dissident Mage's repeatable graveyard casting. It uses temporary theft spells to steal opponents' creatures, attack with them, then sacrifice them for card draw and effects. Token producers like Young Pyromancer and Crow Storm support the sacrifice theme and enable storm payoffs such as Spreading Insurrection. Kess serves as both a card-advantage engine and a way to rebuy key instants and sorceries, while Maestros Ascendancy provides a second graveyard cast each turn. The deck has no infinite combo; it wins through incremental combat damage, direct burn from Burning Vengeance, and a final large Kazuul's Fury fling.
