Deck overview

This Sauron, the Dark Lord deck operates as a potent Grixis Reanimator and Aristocrats powerhouse. While it incorporates a flavorful 9-card Nazgûl package and leverages Sauron's Ward and card-filtering abilities, its core competitive engine revolves around high-velocity graveyard tutoring and reanimation. Cards like Buried Alive and Entomb rapidly deposit game-ending threats into the graveyard, which are converted into immediate wins via Razaketh, the Foulblooded or the Warren Soultrader, Forsaken Miner, and Blood Artist infinite drain loop. Backed by a dense, hyper-efficient interaction package containing zero-to-one-mana counterspells and free removal like Deadly Rollick, the deck can protect its own lines while disrupting faster opposing strategies. In longer games, asymmetric attrition engines like Archfiend of Ifnir and Sheoldred, the Apocalypse systematically dismantle opponent resources, ensuring inevitability whether winning through infinite drain or massive combat swings.
