Deck overview

This is a Grixis Villain tribal deck led by Loki, the Deceiver. Its main plan is to deploy a Villain first, cast the commander, give it haste with Lightning Greaves or Swiftfoot Boots, and attack to create a temporary copy of another Villain. Combat damage draws cards, while cards such as Madame Hydra, Crimson Cowl, Master of Evil, Mysterio, Master of Illusion, and Doctor Doom turn a growing board into additional tokens and pressure. Mana acceleration and tribal cost reduction are good, and the interaction suite covers most permanent types. The deck's weakness is that its value engine is combat-dependent and requires several pieces together. It does not have a verified infinite combo, compact alternate win, or reliable table kill. Ordinary assembly is around turn 6, with a meaningful must-answer board around turn 8 or later, but completion cannot be timed reliably.
