Deck overview

This Simic spellslinger deck leverages Ivy, Gleeful Spellthief to double the value of single-target instants, sorceries, and auras. By casting low-cost spells on companion creatures, the pilot triggers Ivy's ability to copy each spell onto herself, effectively turning every combat trick, cantrip, and protection instant into a two-for-one engine. The strategy focuses on establishing early board presence with targetable creatures like Stormchaser Drake and Invisible Stalker, then chaining card-drawing cantrips to sculpt a dominant hand. Lethal pressure arrives on Turn 5 via massive power buffs from spells like Invigorate and Tifa's Limit Break, token swarms from Vesuvan Duplimancy, or poison counters from Venerated Rotpriest. The deck protects its board using 1-mana protection spells that shield both Ivy and her companion at instant speed.
