Deck overview

This deck is a focused Boros Equipment and Dwarf synergy strategy helmed by Lightning, Army of One. Lightning provides an aggressive 3-mana body with first strike, trample, and lifelink, backed by its signature Stagger mechanic which doubles all damage dealt to a player after combat damage. The game plan focuses on casting early utility Dwarves and cost-reducers, resolving Lightning on turn 3, and equipping powerful weapons like The Reaver Cleaver, Andúril, Flame of the West, or Mjölnir, Hammer of Thor on turn 4. By turn 5, the deck unleashes massive damage bursts through extra combat spells such as Aggravated Assault and Overpowering Attack, or explosive finishers like Akroma's Will and Chandra's Ignition. A premier suite of protective spells, including Clever Concealment, Mithril Coat, and Boros Charm, safeguards key permanents from removal while the deck rapidly knocks out opponents one by one.
