Smaug the Impenetrable by brewbeard

Format: Commander

Commander: Smaug the Impenetrable

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

The deck is a Smaug treasure-storm build. It wants to cast Smaug the Impenetrable quickly, then either push 21 commander damage with haste attacks or turn his noncombat-damage trigger into an engine with Pyrohemia and token multipliers. A hidden commander, Smaug the Magnificent, provides extra firebreathing and treasure production. Secondary paths include an amass Orc subtheme and drain triggers from Mirkwood Bats, Mayhem Devil, Reckless Fireweaver, and Exquisite Blood. The mana base favors early acceleration through rocks and treasure makers, with enough removal to keep the board clean. The deck is explosive but vulnerable to commander exile and weak stack interaction.
