Commander: Tor Wauki the Younger

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Rakdos spellslinger deck helmed by Tor Wauki the Younger, a force multiplier that turns every instant and sorcery into a 2-damage bolt and pumps all noncombat damage by 1. The primary game plan is to deploy cheap pinging engines (Guttersnipe, Fiery Inscription, Firebrand Archer), generate explosive mana with rituals (Dark Ritual, Seething Song, Pyretic Ritual), and then chain a high volume of spells in a single turn to kill the entire table. The deck uses Past in Flames and Bonus Round to recycle spells and build storm count, finishing with Grapeshot or Tendrils of Agony. It also has a backup plan of incremental burn from the commander and other triggers. The commander is a critical damage amplifier, but the deck can still function without him through the pinging engine.
