Deck overview

This deck is a Golgari kindred aristocrats strategy commanded by Blech, Loafing Pest. The game plan revolves around generating swarms of kindred creature tokens—specifically Pests, Bats, Insects, Snakes, and Spiders—and triggering lifegain effects to distribute +1/+1 counters across the entire board. As the token army grows, aristocrat engines like Mirkwood Bats, Blood Artist, and Dina, Soul Steeper drain opponents whenever creatures enter the battlefield, attack, or die. Sacrifice outlets such as Ashnod's Altar and Phyrexian Altar turn these tokens into mana bursts and lethal direct damage. The deck thrives on high functional redundancy and resilient graveyard recursion from cards like Meren of Clan Nel Toth and Victimize. Its primary limitations are a lack of instant-speed reactive disruption for noncreature combos and thin protection against exile-based sweepers.
