Shang-Chi and the Ten Rings

Format: Commander

Commander: Shang-Chi and the Ten Rings

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a "draw matters" +1/+1 counter synergy deck helmed by Shang-Chi and the Ten Rings. Every card drawn puts a counter on Shang-Chi, and at ten counters he draws five cards and gains five life. The 99 is packed with redundant draw-trigger counter engines - Toothy, Imaginary Friend, Chasm Skulker, Lyla, Holographic Assistant, Baxter, Fly in the Ointment, Iron Man, Armored Avenger, Wizard Class, Stark's Ingenuity, Kid Loki, and Krang, the All-Powerful - backed by a deep draw suite (Mangara, the Diplomat, The Council of Four, Reed Richards, Smartest Man, Vnwxt, Verbose Host, Archmage Emeritus). The deck wins through combat with enormous unblockable creatures enabled by Herald of Secret Streams (Body of Knowledge, Nerd Rage), the alternate condition Triskaidekaphile, Psychic Corrosion mill, and commander damage. It is a slow, value-driven control-combat hybrid with a strong counterspell suite and no fast combo lines.
