Deck overview

This deck is a specialized Sultai Elfball Combo strategy commanded by Thranduil, the Elvenking. It blends the rapid mana acceleration and creature swarm of traditional Elf tribal with graveyard-based combo execution. Thranduil absorbs all activated abilities of Elf cards in your graveyard, turning a single resolved tutor like Buried Alive into an instant win condition. By placing Devoted Druid, Immaculate Magistrate, and Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord into the graveyard, Thranduil generates infinite mana and infinite power counters before draining the table for lethal life loss on the same turn. When graveyard access is contested, the deck seamlessly pivots to on-board creature combos using Ashaya, Soul of the Wild and Argothian Elder or infinite untaps with Staff of Domination and Ezuri, Renegade Leader.
