Format: Commander

Commander: The Ur-Sphinx

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

The Ur-Sphinx commands an Esper Sphinx tribal strategy that leverages passive eminence cost reduction and explosive mana rocks to deploy massive flying threats ahead of curve. The early turns focus on developing mana through artifacts, rituals, and cost reducers like Urza's Incubator and Heartless Summoning. Once established, draw engines such as Unesh, Criosphinx Sovereign and Consecrated Sphinx refill your hand while flooding the battlefield with imposing fliers. You close out the game through relentless aerial combat, dropping life totals with Magister Sphinx, generating token swarms with Elenda and Azor, and casting free spells from milled libraries when The Ur-Sphinx attacks.
