Deck overview

Golbez, Crystal Collector is the deck's engine and finisher: every artifact entering surveils into the graveyard, and with eight artifacts the end step becomes a repeatable drain by returning high-power creatures. The primary plan is to reach eight artifact permanents, stock the yard with Buried Alive and self-mill, then close with repeated 10-12 life drains. Secondary paths are Cyberdrive Awakener/Master of Etherium combat and Mirrodin Besieged's Phyrexian alternate kill. There is no hidden commander; Blitzwing and Armix are role-players. Without Golbez the deck still generates artifacts and draws cards, but loses its cleanest finish, so the plan is dependent but not crippled.
