Deck overview

This Selesnya deck leverages Kudo, King Among Bears to set the base power and toughness of all other creatures to 2/2. Because Hydras enter with +1/+1 counters, Kudo acts as a baseline buff that elevates their floor while shrinking opposing behemoths and commanders down to bear size. Supported by counter multipliers like Branching Evolution and Unbound Flourishing, the deck rapidly generates massive trampling threats. The game plan focuses on curving out mana ramp, deploying Kudo and counter multipliers, and landing game-ending combat threats such as Kalonian Hydra and Sovereign Okinec Ahau. While it possesses an asymmetric hard lock via Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite to permanently wipe opposing 2/2 creatures, the primary path to victory is overwhelming combat damage spread across several attack steps. The deck thrives on board presence and permanent-based protection like Grand Abolisher and Privileged Position.
