Deck overview

This mono-black deck leverages Mabel, Bitter Recluse as an ultra-low-cost utility commander that removes counters on entry, synergizing with -1/-1 counter engines and persist creatures. The deck develops mana on curve through artifacts and land multipliers before establishing an engine on Turn 4 using Yawgmoth, Thran Physician, Nest of Scarabs, or Skullclamp. It suppresses opposing creature development through asymmetric attrition engines like Grave Pact and Massacre Girl, Known Killer while assembling an aristocratic loop. By Turn 6, the deck aims to close the game in a single turn using infinite death triggers from Mikaeus, the Unhallowed and Putrid Goblin or Blowfly Infestation and Nest of Scarabs, converting sacrifices into lethal table-wide life drain or library mill. The deck features remarkable resilience due to a dense reanimation package, allowing it to recover almost instantly from board wipes.
