Deck overview

This deck uses Massimo, the Magician to give creatures a free copy of a mana-value-1 instant or sorcery when they deal combat damage. Its many unblockable and evasive creatures make that trigger easy to activate, while Guttersnipe, Jeskai Ascendancy, Whirlwind of Thought, Young Pyromancer, Talrand, Sky Summoner, and Storm-Kiln Artist reward repeated spell casting. The plan is coherent, but it is not compact: the commander, a later creature, a graveyard spell, an attack step, and usually a payoff must all line up. Cantrips and several counters improve consistency, while Talismans and Arcane Signet support the three-color curve. The deck has no reliable tutor package, no supported infinite combo, and no dependable table-kill sequence. It is best understood as a mid-power value and combat deck whose ceiling comes from Bonus Round or Thousand-Year Storm, not as a competitive combo deck.
