Deck overview

This Sultai deck is an engine-rich powerhouse helmed by Teval, the Balanced Scale that bridges graveyard-based landfall value with compact, decisive combo finishes. In the opening turns, explosive acceleration such as Mana Vault, Dark Ritual, and Sol Ring accelerates resource deployment while universal tutors (Demonic Tutor, Vampiric Tutor, Imperial Seal) assemble the primary win line. The primary path to victory executes a Turn 4 kill using Laboratory Maniac and Demonic Consultation, drawing from an empty library to win on the spot with zero opponent response cycles. If the table contests the fast combo, the deck seamlessly transitions into a resilient midrange attrition game plan. The Gitrog Monster, Life from the Loam, and Crucible of Worlds generate overwhelming card flow and recurrent Strip Mine locks, while Bolas's Citadel loops and Craterhoof Behemoth overruns supply formidable backup avenues to close the game.
