Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is an Esper discard-reanimator midrange deck helmed by Hashaton, Scarab's Fist. The core plan is to loot and discard creature cards, then pay Hashaton, Scarab's Fist's trigger cost to mint tapped 4/4 Zombie copies of high-impact bodies while the originals fuel a dense reanimation package. Primary wins come from cheating out haymakers such as Archon of Cruelty, Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite, Sheoldred, Whispering One, Jin-Gitaxias, Core Augur, Valgavoth, Terror Eater, and Massacre Wurm, either as Hashaton tokens or via Reanimate, Animate Dead, Necromancy, and Living Death. Secondary pressure includes devotion drains from Gray Merchant of Asphodel, attrition from Toxrill, the Corrosive, and stack control that protects the setup. The commander is cheap and recursive value, but the 99 still functions as a classic reanimator shell when he is absent.
