Deck overview

This deck is an aggressive Dimir tempo strategy built around Yuriko, the Tiger's Shadow. The game plan revolves around casting cheap, evasive one-drop creatures on Turn 1 and using Commander ninjutsu on Turn 2 to put Yuriko directly into combat unblocked. Whenever a Ninja deals combat damage to an opponent, Yuriko reveals the top card of your library, puts it into your hand, and drains life from all opponents equal to that card's mana value. The deck maximizes this ability with topdeck manipulation like Brainstorm and Ponder alongside high-mana-value spells like Shadow of Mortality and Dig Through Time. With multiple Ninjas attacking each turn, the deck generates compounding card advantage and burns down the entire table simultaneously. A robust suite of cheap counterspells and bounce spells protects the board while disrupting critical opposing plays, creating a fast, resilient clock that ignores traditional commander tax.
