Deck overview

This Boros deck combines the political 'bad gifts' strategy with Ally tribal beatdown and forced combat, led by Iroh, Tea Master. The primary game plan revolves around casting Iroh on curve, generating a Food token, and donating permanents to opponents at the start of each combat. Each donation creates a scaling Ally creature token with +1/+1 counters equal to the total number of permanents you own under opponents' control. The deck leverages cards like Akroan Horse, Pendant of Prosperity, and Alexios, Deimos of Kosmos to inflate this count rapidly. As the Ally army grows, Ally payoffs like Resolute Blademaster and Ondu Champion provide combat keywords. Disruptive enchantments like Possibility Storm and Stranglehold stall linear combo opponents, while mass goad spells like Taunt from the Rampart and Disrupt Decorum force opponents to eliminate each other before Iroh cleans up the survivors.
