Format: Commander

Commander: The Lord of the Eagles

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This mono-blue deck aims to build a critical mass of evasive flyers that both pressure life totals and discount its flash commander. The Lord of the Eagles arrives as a cheap 8/8 beater once the board has enough flying power, and Cynette, Vulture, Favorable Winds, and Gravitational Shift turn the swarm into a fast clock. Draw engines such as Rhystic Study, Mystic Remora, Vulture, and Enduring Curiosity keep the hand full, while a deep counterspell and bounce package protects the board and clears blockers. The deck has no infinites; it wins through commander damage or a flying alpha strike, using Donal to duplicate utility flyers such as Peregrine Drake and Mulldrifter.
