Commander: Songbird, Sonic Screamer

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a mono-black discard and reanimator deck. You fill the graveyard with Entomb, Buried Alive, and looting, then put large threats like Archon of Cruelty, Grave Titan, Sheoldred, Whispering One, and Vilis into play with Reanimate, Animate Dead, Necromancy, and Living Death. Discard payoffs such as Bone Miser, Archfiend of Ifnir, Feast of Sanity, and Monument to Endurance turn every discard into tokens, mana, or removal. Big mana from Cabal Coffers and Crypt Ghast powers Torment of Hailfire and Gray Merchant of Asphodel to close. Songbird, Sonic Screamer is a cheap discard outlet and flying enabler, not the engine. Razaketh, the Foulblooded is the hidden commander that tutors the exact reanimation or payoff you need.
