Deck overview

This deck is an Izzet artifact ramp and token swarm strategy helmed by Ovika, Enigma Goliath. The primary game plan focuses on deploying an extensive suite of low-cost and mid-cost mana rocks during the early turns to accelerate mana production. This enables the deck to cast its 7-mana commander on Turn 5. Once Ovika is on the battlefield, every noncreature spell—including additional mana rocks, card draw spells, and enchantments—generates a swarm of 1/1 Phyrexian Goblin creature tokens with haste equal to that spell's mana value. The deck quickly converts these tokens into overwhelming combat damage using anthem effects like Shared Animosity and Banner of Kinship, or lethal indirect damage via Purphoros, God of the Forge, Impact Tremors, and Molten Gatekeeper. Burst draw spells like Distant Melody and Skullclamp keep the hand full of spells to continue triggering Ovika, closing out games in explosive turns.
