Deck overview

This Mardu reanimator deck accelerates mana and discards large creatures early to cheat them onto the battlefield ahead of curve. Commanded by Piru, the Volatile, the deck uses fast rituals like Dark Ritual and efficient mana rocks to quickly set up its graveyard engine. Tutors like Unmarked Grave and discard tools like The Underworld Cookbook deposit devastating threats into the graveyard, primarily Archon of Cruelty and Serra's Emissary. Spells like Persist, Priest of Fell Rites, and Late to Dinner bring these bombs into play as early as Turn 3 or 4. The deck controls opposing battlefields using free evoke creatures like Solitude, Fury, and Grief, backed by sweepers like Damn and Piru itself. While it excels at generating resource disparity and life swings, it closes games through combat damage across multiple turns rather than infinite combo finishes.
