Deck overview

This deck is an Izzet theft and tempo list commanded by Zara, Renegade Recruiter. The primary strategy accelerates into Zara with haste, attacks to reveal an opponent's hand, and cheats their best creature onto the battlefield tapped and attacking. To bypass Zara's delayed trigger that returns the stolen creature at the end step, the deck employs exile-and-return blink engines like Thassa, Deep-Dwelling and Conjurer's Closet, or ends the turn early with Sundial of the Infinite to retain those creatures permanently. Secondary lines leverage extra combat steps through Port Razer and Full Throttle, trigger doubling with Roaming Throne, or an infinite combat loop using Helm of the Host on Port Razer. Strong cheap countermagic and shroud equipment protect the commander while the stolen board overwhelms the table.
