Deck overview

This Golgari Superfriends midrange deck is commanded by Carth the Lion. Carth generates recurring card advantage by looking at the top seven cards of your library for a planeswalker whenever he enters or a planeswalker dies, while reducing loyalty activation costs by [+1]. The deck accelerates early using cheap mana dorks and ramp spells to cast Carth on Turn 3, followed by mid-curve planeswalkers on Turn 4 to control opposing boards and generate defensive tokens. On Turn 6, the deck reaches critical onset by resolving counter multipliers like Doubling Season or Vorinclex, Monstrous Raider, allowing newly cast planeswalkers like Garruk, Primal Hunter, Nissa, Who Shakes the World, or Vraska the Unseen to trigger their ultimate abilities immediately. Over two subsequent combat cycles on Turns 7 and 8, an overwhelming horde of Wurms, animated lands, and Assassin tokens eliminates all opponents.
