Deck overview

This Grixis spellslinger deck leverages Fire Lord Azula to convert combat attacks into explosive spell-copying turns. By attacking with Azula, the deck generates free red mana via firebending and doubles every instant cast during combat. Cheap power-doubling spells such as Unleash Fury and Bulk Up turn Azula into a lethal commander damage threat, while spellslinger payoffs like Guttersnipe, Fiery Inscription, and Bria, Riptide Rogue spread heavy damage across the rest of the table. Low-cost cantrips keep the hand full by drawing double cards during combat, and free redirect spells like Deflecting Swat protect the commander from removal. Without relying on infinite combos or fast mana stax, the deck executes a proactive, highly synergistic combat-burn game plan that reliably pressures and closes games across Turns 5 through 7.
