Format: Commander

Commander: Skullbriar, the Walking Grave

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

Skullbriar, the Walking Grave leads a focused Golgari +1/+1 counter voltron deck. The primary plan is to land Skullbriar on turn two, stack counters on it every turn, and finish each opponent with lethal commander damage. The deck supports this with pump spells that double counters, equipment that adds counters or double strike, and hexproof/indestructible effects that keep the commander on the battlefield. A small reanimation suite with Eternal Witness and Call of the Death-Dweller helps recoup after wipes. Secondary paths use other counter synergists such as Kalonian Hydra and Corpsejack Menace to create large board threats. The deck has no hidden commander and no infinite combos; it wins through combat damage.
