Deck overview

This mono-black aristocrats deck leverages Mikaeus, the Unhallowed as both a high-impact commander and a resilient anthem for Zombie-centric sacrifice engines. The deck accelerates into play using mono-black explosive mana sources such as Cabal Coffers, Lake of the Dead, Phyrexian Tower, and Jet Medallion. Its card advantage is fueled by recurring sacrifice engines including Undead Augur, Braids, Arisen Nightmare, and Ayara, First of Locthwain. While Mikaeus provides immense combat pressure and board-wipe insulation via undying, the deck's primary victory condition is an infinite life-drain loop utilizing Warren Soultrader, Gravecrawler, and a blood-drain payoff such as Blood Artist or Zulaport Cutthroat. Supported by low-cost reanimation, targeted protection spells like Kaya's Ghostform and Imp's Mischief, and asymmetric disruption from Dauthi Voidwalker, the deck consistently closes out multiplayer pods on Turn 6 through non-combat drain damage.
