Green mono by user6906671

Format: Commander

Commander: Syr Faren, the Hengehammer

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

Syr Faren, the Hengehammer is a mono-green counter-synergy beatdown deck. The primary plan is to ramp, cast Syr Faren, and pump his power with +1/+1 counters so his attack trigger turns any other attacker into a one-shot threat. Secondary paths are trample-heavy alpha strikes with Craterhoof Behemoth, Pathbreaker Ibex, or Decimator of the Provinces, and value chains from Ojer Kaslem and Kodama of the East Tree. Ojer Kaslem's front face is the hidden value commander; its Temple of Cultivation back is a utility land. The deck has no infinite combos and wins through combat, so it needs Syr Faren to survive or a critical mass of creatures to finish.
